According to El Roi Haiti, a Christian humanitarian aid organization, an American nurse and her child have been kidnapped in Haiti. The abduction of Alix Dorsainvil, the wife of El Roi Haiti Director Sandro Dorsainvil, and their child, occurred on Thursday morning, as stated on El Roi Haiti’s website.
The unfortunate incident took place while they were serving in their community ministry on El Roi Haiti’s campus near the capital city, Port-au-Prince.
In a heartfelt statement, El Roi Haiti described Alix as a profoundly compassionate and caring individual who considers Haiti her home and its people her friends and family. Her dedication to helping others is evident in her work as a school and community nurse, providing relief and care to those in need, all in the name of Jesus.

Alix Dorsainvil, who originally worked as a nurse in New Hampshire, made a life-changing decision to move to Haiti after her husband extended an invitation to provide nursing care for the children at a Haitian school. “The safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas are of utmost importance to the U.S. Department of State and our embassies and consulates abroad,” the spokesperson emphasized.
