A few weeks back, the Tennessee Titans surprised everyone by axing head coach Mike Vrabel after a disappointing 6-11 season, missing the NFL playoffs.
This move sent shockwaves across the league, joining other prominent coaching changes like Bill Belichick parting ways with the New England Patriots after 24 years.
Swiftly facing the need for a new head coach, the Titans swiftly initiated their search, competing with numerous teams in the open market. Despite several high-profile coaches available, the Titans opted for a different route.
As per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans are in talks to secure a deal with Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as their new head coach.

At just 39, Callahan brings considerable NFL experience, boasting a Super Bowl title with the Denver Broncos coaching staff in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. Starting as a Broncos assistant in 2010, he also had stints with the Detroit Lions and then-Oakland Raiders.
While not a flashy choice, Callahan’s experience suggests he can positively impact Tennessee’s future coaching dynamics.
