In a much-anticipated game that showcased two of the league’s most powerful offenses, the Philadelphia Eagles convincingly defeated the Miami Dolphins, highlighting the one-sided nature of the match. The Eagles, who were ranked second in total offense before the game, displayed their offensive prowess by accumulating 355 yards and securing a commanding 31-17 victory over the Dolphins.

On the other hand, the Dolphins managed only 244 yards, and they can consider themselves fortunate that the game wasn’t even more lopsided.

Philadelphia’s dynamic quarterback, Jalen Hurts, did experience two critical turnovers, which the Dolphins managed to capitalize on. The first was a fumble resulting from a strip-sack by Bradley Chubb, with Christian Wilkins recovering it at the Philadelphia 23-yard line. This turnover led to a 40-yard field goal by Jason Sanders. The second turnover was a pick-six, initiated by a tipped pass from cornerback Kader Kohou and executed by Jerome Baker, covering 22 yards.

Despite these hiccups, Hurts showed resilience by completing 23 of 31 passes for 279 yards, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. His touchdown passes covered 19 yards to Dallas Goedert and 14 yards to A.J. Brown. The Eagles were in control at the Dolphins’ 6-yard line when they transitioned into victory formation.

It’s important to note that Hurts played the second half with a protective brace on his left leg, but he reassured NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark that he was feeling good. Additionally, Hurts demonstrated his versatility with 11 carries for 21 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown run using a quarterback push play.

A.J. Brown was a standout player, with 10 receptions for 137 yards. On the Dolphins’ side, their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 23 of 32 passes for 216 yards, throwing a touchdown while also grappling with an interception. The interception was a crucial play, occurring in the end zone when Darius Slay intercepted a pass on a third-and-eight from the Philadelphia 24-yard line, with 11:21 remaining.

Key contributors to the Dolphins’ offense included Tyreek Hill, who made 11 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen Waddle, despite briefly leaving the game due to a back injury, had six receptions for 63 yards. In the rushing game, Raheem Mostert managed 45 yards on nine carries.

With this convincing victory, the Eagles improved their record to 6-1, while the Dolphins saw their record drop to 5-2.
