Italian MotoGP team Gresini Racing has solidified its Ducati collaboration for the forthcoming two seasons. Furthermore, they’ve confirmed that Spaniard Alex Marquez will remain with the team throughout 2024.
The Italian team, who are currently competing with Ducati bikes in the MotoGP World Championship, have been in talks with Ducati about a new deal for some time. The agreement was finally reached on Thursday, and it means that Gresini will continue to be a Ducati satellite team for the next two years.
Recently, Marquez, the talented sibling of six-time MotoGP title-holder Marc Marquez, clinched his maiden triumph in the premier category by securing victory in the sprint race at the British Grand Prix held at Silverstone.
In a statement, Gresini Racing team principal Nadia Padovani said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Ducati for the next two seasons. This is a great outcome for the team, and it shows the trust that Ducati has in us. We have a strong relationship with Ducati, and we are confident that this will continue to be a successful partnership in the years to come.”
