Hannah Green secured back-to-back victories at the LPGA Tour’s JM Eagle LA Championship, overcoming some early nerves to claim her fifth LPGA win and second of 2024.
Green, the Australian golfer, finished with a comfortable 5-under 66, leaving her three strokes ahead of Maja Stark. The challenging Wilshire Country Club with its bumpy poa annua greens seemed to favor Green’s style.
“It’s really kind to me,” Green said of the course. “I feel like I got a few lucky breaks today.”
The turning point came on the back nine. A chip-in birdie on the 12th, followed by a birdie putt on the 13th, put Green in a strong position. When Stark faltered with a bogey on 16, Green capitalized by sinking a long eagle putt on 15, extending her lead to four strokes. Another birdie on 16 solidified her victory.

“The chip-in on 12 was a big momentum swing,” Green admitted. “The eagle on 15 pretty much sealed the deal.”
Stark, the 24-year-old Swedish golfer, displayed resilience by finishing strong with birdies on the final two holes, ultimately securing second place. She had also finished second the previous week at the Chevron Championship.
