Los Angeles Lakers forward Christian Wood will need arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and is expected to miss several weeks, according to sources.
Wood has been sidelined since the All-Star break due to knee swelling. The 28-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Lakers in the offseason and has averaged nearly 7 points and 5 rebounds per game.
The Lakers are in a tight battle for the 9th seed in the Western Conference with just over a dozen games remaining in the regular season.
