Ross Chastain, driver of the #1 Moose Fraternity Chevrolet pulled a NASCAR 2005 video game move in a real life race at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia.

Ross Chastain’s Video Game Move not only shocked his fellow drivers but also landed him in contention for the NASCAR Cup championship.

Chase Briscoe was heard saying: “That’s literally the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

On the final lap at Martinsville Speedway, Chastain drove into the wall, shifted into fifth gear, let go of the steering wheel and pressed the throttle to the ground. After his daring move he finished fifth and edged out Hamlin narrowly to move on to the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway next weekend.

Ross Chastain later said that he played a lot of NASCAR 2005 on the GameCube with his brother when he was young but never knew if it would actually work.
