Novato, Calif. – In a tragic incident that occurred in the Hamilton area, Novato police have apprehended a suspect for homicide following a shooting. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m. on Friday in the Lanham Village neighborhood on Martin Drive. Authorities responded promptly to reports of gunfire, discovering the lifeless bodies of a man and a dog on the back porch of a residence.
After detaining two individuals at the scene, law enforcement identified Paul Henry Dwight, a 65-year-old resident, as the alleged perpetrator. Investigators determined that Dwight and the deceased man were roommates and had a dispute regarding their housing arrangements.

While authorities have not disclosed the identity of the deceased individual, efforts are being made by the county coroner’s office to notify immediate family members.
