Child Abuse Charges Filed Against TikToker Taylor Frankie Paul

After arrest Child Abuse Charges filed against TikToker Taylor Frankie Paul.

On Friday, 17th February 2023, Herriman City Police Department, Utah received a call from the 4306 West Rex Peak Way in correspondence to the domestic violence that took place there around 11:00 pm. The Mormon TikTok influencer Taylor Paul,28 was arrested and brought to Salt Lake County Jail for misdemeanor charges of child assault, domestic violence in presence of child and criminal mischief. 

As per the reports received on 2nd March 2023, the District Attorney for Salt Lake County Jail released court documents for screening of felony assault charges against Ms. Paul. The detectives involved in the case received additional video evidence which showed that during the incident, Ms. Paul’s minor child was injured by the action of her. And hence the investigators have been charged with reckless child abuse.

According to the statement given by the Herriman City Police Department, Ms. Paul and her boyfriend Dakota Mortensen,30, were having an argument and, when her boyfriend took a step behind and decided to leave, she kicked him and choked his neck started hitting him by throwing heavy objects like metal bar stools, metal chairs at her boyfriend Dakota and hit her 5-year-old daughter, Indy Paul in the head with one of the metal object. 

The investigator also stated that, before their daughter was hit hard, Dakota had already warned Taylor to stop throwing things at him and he was afraid the objects might hurt their daughter as she was sitting next to him on the couch. It was observed that Taylor’s son Ocean Paul, 2, was also in the house when the incident took place. 

Taylor Paul was earlier married to Tate Paul, the father of her two children, and the couple got divorced in 2022.

The investigators reported that Taylors boyfriend Dakota, had redness and swelling around his eyes, swelling on his elbow, scratches on his fingers, and a laceration on his neck. Despite being injured Dakota tried to defend his girlfriend as published in Daily Mail on 23rd Feb, saying, “We didn’t argue, and she never hurt anyone intentionally. I don’t even want the truth to come out. She’s so broken right now. I tried to help her. She’s a good mom, she’s going through a lot in her life right now. Taylor’s been struggling, it’s been a hard year for her. She is racked with guilt on her cheating scandal that cost her marriage.”

As per the post updated by the Herriman Police Department in the last week said, “Ms. Paul’s status as a social media influencer has no bearing or impact on the investigation or outcome of this case. All allegations of domestic violence are investigated thoroughly and in accordance with state law and established criminal justice best practices to protect victims and ensure accountability.” Also, the Police dept. will not release the status or condition, or statements made by the victims during the investigations.
