Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin are saying goodbye to California and hello to Florida. The actor announced the move during the season premiere of their reality show “The Family Stallone.”
The couple’s decision comes after their three daughters left home, prompting Jennifer’s desire for “a big adventure” and “new beginnings.” While Stallone initially expressed hesitation about leaving California, where they have lived for a long time, he ultimately supported his wife’s wish.
Florida’s appeal goes beyond sunny weather. The state has become a popular destination for wealthy Americans due to its tax benefits. Unlike California, with its high income tax rates, Florida has no state income tax or capital gains tax. This attracts not only celebrities like Stallone and Jeff Bezos, but also retirees seeking to keep more of their retirement income.

California, on the other hand, has seen an exodus of residents, particularly high earners, who are drawn to Florida’s tax-friendly environment.
This trend reflects a larger shift in the U.S., with some people choosing to relocate to states with lower taxes and different political landscapes.
