Cuban Actress De Arms Shares Humorous Story of Learning English in SNL Monologue.

During her debut as a host on Saturday Night Live, Cuban actress Ana de Armas shared a humorous story about how she learned English by watching the hit TV series, “Friends.”

Ana De Armas is a Cuban – Spanish actress who made her acting debut from the Spanish film Una Rosa de Francia. She was only 12 years old when she decided that she wants become an actress in her future. Armas also starred in a television show named as ‘El Internado’ in the year 2007-2010.

De Armas, who moved to the United States at the age of 26, also revealed that she took acting classes in English, which led to some amusing mistakes, in the show ‘Saturday Night Live’ which she hosted for the very first time.

De Armas shared the story of a particularly memorable acting class, in which she encountered the phrase “I beg your pardon” for the first time. Assuming that the character she was playing was literally begging, she delivered the line as “I beg your pardon, give it to me!” to the amusement of her classmates.

Despite these initial difficulties, De Armas has gone on to achieve great success in the entertainment industry, including an Oscar nomination for her role in “Blonde.” She will next be seen in the upcoming Apple TV+ movie “Ghosted,” alongside Chris Evans, and has recently finished filming for the John Wick spinoff “Ballerina,” in which she plays the lead role. The movie will get released in the month of June 2024.
