The world-famous detective Benoit Blanc is back on the case! Writer and director Rian Johnson has announced the title and cast for the next installment in the popular “Knives Out” series: “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.”

Joining Daniel Craig, who reprises his role as Blanc, are actors Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny. Their characters are yet to be revealed.

Johnson will once again write, direct, and produce the film alongside Ram Bergman. Production is set to begin soon, with a release date targeted for 2025.

This will be the third movie in the “Knives Out” franchise, following the critically acclaimed whodunits “Knives Out” (2019) and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” (2022). Both films were praised for their star-studded casts and clever mysteries.

The new cast members bring impressive resumes to the table. O’Connor is an Emmy Award winner for his portrayal of Prince Charles in “The Crown.” Spaeny has garnered acclaim for roles in films like “Bad Times at the El Royale” and “Priscilla,” as well as the upcoming “Alien” sequel “Alien: Romulus.”
