The talented actor renowned for his role in ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway, Clifton Oliver passes away at 47. He had been bravely fighting a long-term illness and spent his final days in a hospice before peacefully departing on Wednesday (02.08.23), as revealed by his family.
According to his sister, Roxy Hall, Clifton had been hospitalized for an undisclosed, but prolonged, sickness before spending his last six weeks in the hospice. In a heartfelt Facebook post, Roxy shared the poignant moment of Clifton’s passing, where his partner Richard sang the song Psalm 23 to him as he took his final breath at 3:20 AM.
“My baby brother, Clifton Oliver, has had his final curtain call,” wrote Roxy. “He had a Gorgeous smile on his Beautiful face!! He went twirling into the afterlife ready to make his Grand Appearance as the Star of his Homecoming Celebration! My heart is sad, and overjoyed at the same time! I will miss him, but he is finally at peace. He lives within all of us.”
