David Dastmalchian, known for his role in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, envisions portraying a James Bond antagonist.
The star has directly pitched himself to the 007 team, proposing his capacity to challenge the iconic spy in the forthcoming Bond era post Daniel Craig’s departure.
In a pre-SAG-AFTRA strike interview with Slash Film, Dastmalchian voiced his ambition, stating, “Consider this a sign. I believe I can redefine the portrayal of a 007 foe, offering a perspective hitherto unexplored.”
He emphasized his ability to push Bond to unprecedented limits. “I could bring an adversary’s depth and dimensions. My eagerness is palpable. Here’s my proposal.”
Dastmalchian anticipates the team’s reception, humorously adding, “Upon reading this, I may owe you 10 percent upon securing the role.”

Beyond his aspirations as a Bond villain, Dastmalchian stars in ‘The Last Voyage of the Demeter’, a vampire film based on Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’. Portraying first mate Wojchek, he embodied authenticity, including the portrayal of historical dental conditions.
Reflecting on the film’s collaborative nature, Dastmalchian praised the diverse artist team’s vision. His dedication to authenticity extended to the character’s appearance, acknowledging the uniqueness of the project.
