Chatsworth House to host International Women's Day

Theresa Peltier, who will become the county's first black High Sheriff in April, organized the drop-in event.

She claimed that it would be a chance to highlight the accomplishments of the many powerful women in the county.

On International Women's Day, Ms. Peltier is asking ladies to Chatsworth to exchange experiences and take in performances by women from various backgrounds.

Projects that will help the Windrush Generation will receive funding, and women who own small companies and perform humanitarian and other activities will be recognized.

Carol Fieldhouse, a singer-songwriter, and Seni Seneviratne, a performer, writer, and poet, will both perform.

Residents Sue Allanson and Elizabeth Fothergill, as well as representatives from Women's Work and Adoption East Midlands, will be present.

Ms. Peltier, who retired as head of equality for Derbyshire Police, wanted to bring together creative and innovative women to celebrate International Women's Day.
