According to El Roi Haiti, a Christian humanitarian aid organization, an American nurse and her child have been kidnapped in Haiti. The unfortunate incident took place while they were serving in their community ministry on El Roi Haiti’s campus near the capital city, Port-au-Prince.

In a heartfelt statement, El Roi Haiti described Alix as a profoundly compassionate and caring individual who considers Haiti her home and its people her friends and family. Her dedication to helping others is evident in her work as a school and community nurse, providing relief and care to those in need, all in the name of Jesus.

Alix Dorsainvil, who originally worked as a nurse in New Hampshire, made a life-changing decision to move to Haiti after her husband extended an invitation to provide nursing care for the children at a Haitian school. The move showcased her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the Haitian people.

“The safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas are of utmost importance to the U.S. Department of State and our embassies and consulates abroad,” the spokesperson emphasized.

As the situation unfolds, efforts to secure the safe return of the American nurse and her child are underway, and both the Haitian and American authorities are working diligently to resolve the matter.
