SAN FRANCISCO – Bob Lee, the Mobile Coin CPO and Cash App founder was stabbed to death in San Francisco’s Rincon Hill neighborhood early Tuesday morning, according to his current employer and the Cryptocurrency platform and police.

The incident took place in the Rincon Hill neighbourhood, when the Bob Lee was walking up main street and suddenly he’d been stabbed around 20 feet from the front door of his hotel. The city officers responded to that incident about 2:35 a.m. which happened in the 400 block of main street in the Rincon Hill neighbourhood. After reaching there, officers found the victim and taken him to hospital, where he later died. Mobile Coin confirmed the death of the Chief Product Officer of the Cryptocurrency start-up, Bob Lee.
Bob Lee’s friend Dalton message after the death news
Dough Dalton and Lee met years ago when they were starting their careers and both of them were software engineers. After hearing the news of Lee’s death, Dalton said that he and Lee were together the last night before he was killed.
“He brought people and technologies together. He was such a wonderful father and was always doing the best that he possibly could” said the Dalton. His friend also said, “That area that he was walking back from was headed right toward his hotel”. He further added, “I feel like he had so much more to offer and this is just shocking that this has happened”.
Bob’s Father Post on Facebook
Bob Lee’s father Rick Lee was living with him and he posted on Facebook about his son. He wrote,
“life has been an adventurous with two bachelors living together and I am very happy to know that we were able to become so close these last years. Bob would give the shirt off his back.
He would never look down on anyone and adhered to a strict no – judgement philosophy. Bobby worked harder than anyone and was one of the smartest person I ever known. He will be missed by all those that knew him”

Mobile Coin CEO Joshua Goldbard said in a statement,“Bob was a force of nature, he was the one who helped to birth Android and Cash App into our world. Moby was his dream, which was a privacy protecting wallet for the 21st century. I will miss Bob everyday”.
San Francisco Police Statement
The city’s police released a statement on Wednesday evening offering his condolences to Bob Lee’s family and the police assured everyone that their investigators are working tirelessly to arrest the person who stabbed Bob Lee and to bring justice to Mr. Lee and his loved ones.
