Fowlerville Community Schools has appointed Greg Goffee as its new Recreation Director. Goffee brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as athletic director at Byron High School and worked with various community recreation programs.
Goffee’s primary focus will be on supporting and expanding the district’s youth sports programs for middle and elementary schools. He will collaborate with high school coaches and ensure a smooth flow of resources and guidance for student athletes across all levels.
“I want to create a comprehensive recreation program that caters to the needs of our young athletes,” Goffee said. He emphasized the importance of partnerships with neighboring communities, including the Village of Fowlerville and several townships. This collaboration will be crucial in establishing strong community sports leagues.
The Community Recreation Advisory Board, along with the Fowlerville Community Schools Board of Education, play a key role in shaping the district’s recreational programs. Superintendent Matt Stuard highlighted their commitment to offering a diverse range of activities that benefit the entire community.
Goffee expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge. “There’s a lot to accomplish, but it’s an exciting opportunity,” he said. “We want to build on Fowlerville’s strong athletic tradition and provide all our student athletes with the best possible environment to succeed.”
