HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Goodwill Industries® of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. (Goodwill NYNJ) has reached a significant milestone with the official opening of their new Donation Center and small store in Hillsborough. The grand opening event, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local dignitaries, took place on Tuesday.

This brand-new Goodwill Donation Center and small store occupies a spacious 2,093 square feet within the Hillsborough Centre shopping plaza, conveniently located at 649 Route 206.

Customers visiting this Goodwill store can expect to find a diverse and thoughtfully curated selection of gently-used donated items, including home décor, books, glassware, and more – all generously contributed by local donors.

The Hillsborough Donation Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of the community and will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This marks the second Goodwill location in Somerset County, complementing the existing traditional Goodwill Store and donation center at 509 West Union Avenue in Bound Brook.

This site also serves as a sustainability hub, encouraging residents to embrace the principles of reusing and repurposing for clothing and goods they no longer require, aligning with Goodwill’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
